Dear Patients,

By courtesy of the authors, we are pleased to share with you free access to the e-book "When to Visit Your Doctor: A Doctor’s Perspective," written by Dr. Rebecca Caruana and Dr. Sheriseane Diacono of Mater Dei Hospital in Malta.

As the authors note, "This book is a simple guide dedicated to the public to fill the lacuna that exists in medical knowledge among the public."

We hope you find this guide helpful in understanding when to seek medical advice and ensuring your health and well-being.

Authors’ Note

"The aim of this book is to serve as a basic guide for people about when they should seek the advice of their family doctor, or other forms of medical advice, including the emergency room or hospital medical professionals. This book is by no means intended for the reader to engage in self-diagnosis, but rather to increase awareness of red flags. It is not meant to give medical advice, and if in doubt, the reader should always consult with their doctor."
